Well in fairness not even Microsoft seems to know how the Xbox One works given that they can't give a straight answer about anything and spend a lot of their time stating they're still working things out. So really the only dumbfuck here is you.

To everyone that doubted this would be the case, despite the evidence indicating otherwise. To everyone who said that if Sony had good news on this front they would have released it by now, despite the fact that revealing it at E3 would have the most impact. I have three words for you:
They don't respawn right away, I don't think they're back until the next day. And they don't show up on the third day. In a single play through you have to kill them twice, tops. Plus all you do is let them drive into a tree and then pick them off with a pistol. Then you take their machine gun and go clown hunting.
Don't Capcom already have a grittier zombie franchise? Maybe by the name of Resident Evil? Dead Rising was supposed to be a super cheesy zombie movie that didn't take itself seriously (as opposed to RE, which is cheesy but does try to take itself seriously). Honestly I just don't see the point.
Sigh, and yet this is going to end up costing me more than any DRM would have. I should have bought another cheap 12 month sub last time they were on sale.
Not if you don't know what time zone you're looking up. As I said it only bothers me when the time zone isn't listed as then you're just taking shots in the dark. Especially annoying if it's American time as then you're playing multiple choice.
True, but it's not hard to make a chart either. To be honest I'm fine with international time as long as they state the time zone. It's really annoying when they don't.
With Sony in the morning (my time) and SE in the evening Tuesday will either be very exciting or a massive let down. Or a mixed bag.
Even I wouldn't go that far. Worst final fantasy sure. Worst game ever? That's the big leagues and there's just too much competition. I can think of a lot of games I would rather play over XIII, but I can also think of many examples where I'd rather play XIII.
Except Microsoft aren't losing much of a competitive advantage since Sony aren't offering it either. Similarly the costs of implementing it outweigh what they'd gain on it, especially since the lack of it means they can continue selling the 360 for some time. On the DRM front I think they underestimated the backlash,…
What constitutes a "decent time" depends entirely on your time zone. Microsoft is at a decent time for me. But Sony is at 2 in the morning. They're not going to get it right for everyone. Besides is it actually important you watch it live? Just catch up on what happened at lunch. There aren't any spoilers for a press…
Edited because Kinja is stupid sometimes.
You're changing the context though. Yes it might be weird compared to animals, but not in the context of sentient aliens. It's weird that a lot of aliens are shown to be naked, especially in environments that are alien to them. I guess you can employ the argument that we have things now that negate the need for…
I really don't see why anyone believes Sony would change their stance on charging for online multiplayer. It's one of the biggest advantages the PS3 had over the 360 and they'd be mad that give it up now.
Sony conference isn't until 2am here. :(
Weird next to animal species, but not in regards to other potential sentient species. The fact we're specially adapted for tool use is what sets us apart from other animals. And at the end of the day clothing is a tool. It'd be odd to think another species could advance to the point of space travel without inventing…
I swear he looks the same in every photo, it's like he has only a single facial expression.
You're missing the problem, despite the fact you hit upon it when you said forcing it was idiotic. It's not the actual act of connecting once a day that's pissing people off, it's the fact it's an imposition masquerading as a requirement. There's very few legitimate reasons for such a check in that actually add value…
They're not, at least not the daily logins. They confirmed there would be no connection requirements back in February. They also said it'd be able to play used games. But people just didn't take that second statement at face value.
No. While this might serve to tip the balance in favour of Sony or Microsoft it's not going to be enough to give the game away to Nintendo. It won't hurt them sure, but nor is it going to win them the day.
