I tried going back to the 360 a little while ago to play Halo 4.
What the hell have they done to the thing?

I've heard xbox fans complaining about the menu systems on the PS3, but the xbox dashboard is like you've been teleported into a billboard dimension!

I actually find it kind of soul crushing in a way that something

I loved the original xbox, and I loved my 360.
As the years went on however, Microsoft kept changing it, and adding adverts and making the 360 more and more about anything BUT the games.
I swapped over to the PS3 and for the last few years have got to love the thing more than I ever did my 360.

Somebody should make a mix between a tower defence and Spore.
You get to design your walls in ridiculous detail and the materials you use effect the way creatures react to them.

You see, although its a stupid question thinking about it could actually lead to some pretty interesting gameplay tweaks.

So say the enemies cant climb/destroy the walls, so you want some kind of narrative reason for there to be an opening.

Why not put a friendly character in the gameplay?

Every now and then send a

I think you misunderstood the purpose of my post.

You know, theres one thing that always bugs me in tower defence style games.
(I'm being entirely pedantic and in no way expect any to truly take issue with it)

In most tower defence games you have some kind of base to protect.
You built up a labyrinthine maze of walls with the intent of slowing the enemies as much as

Interestingly enough Glukhovsky actually worked directly on the game!
I don't know how involved he was with the first game, but I know he is credited as the writer for Last Light and seems to have worked very closely with the developers from what I have read.

You make a very interesting point about adaptations though,

The first game is actually pretty fateful adaptation if you ask me.
Obviously there is a lot in the book that we didn't get to see in the game, and I think there are plenty of things in the book that would have been near enough impossible so put into a visual medium without having to make some pretty drastic sacrifices.

I concur.
Do what you want so long as you let others join in and it doesn't harm others!

I remember actually kind of enjoying PacMan World 2, but I was pretty young when I played it so no idea if it was just the folly of youth.

That munch sound though, would get immensely irritating after 10 minutes of gameplay for me.

What the lump!

Just so everybody knows, since I posted that link to Zara's art she has had a 1000+ boost in pageviews (usually averaging about 20 a day)

She is extremely confused and happy and says thank you to everybody that took a look!

Little cheeky of them to say this is their true stories.

You know, considering they will most likely be frequently taking part in or otherwise effecting a battle between secret orders of assassins and templars fighting over alien technology that could lead to the salvation or destruction on the planet.

Mothers not understanding their son's seems to be a pretty common occurance...

I've been training as an illustrator for a good few years now, drawing comics and working with animation.
My mum always tries to take an interest but just does not understand anything I make.

I have a friend, Zara (see her art here), who draws

I did, yes.
I felt putting it farther back would make it a bit harder for nit-picky people to argue that prejudice wasn't THAT strong in the 80's.

Bump it back into the 1800's and I don't think many people would disagree there was some damn strong racism/sexism/homophobia going on.

Everybody commenting on this deserves a trophy.

I see this joke exactly as people see casual sexism or racism in films set in the 19th century.
People were racist/sexist/homophobic and that is an absolute fact, if you make a story set in one of those time periods, although I'm sure not many people would have issue with leaving out that information, it does diminish

Because face's take damage a lot easier than armour does?

I get what you mean.
I would be willing to forgive them for the fuck-up if they actually came out and admitted that it was a huge mistake on their part and tried to make up for it.
People have done much worse in the past.

I just don't understand how they can be so blatantly ignorant for so long.

In a way I kind of hope Sega had nothing to do with this at all.

They have handled the situation incredibly well, or about as well as they possibly could handle a situation like this.

Gearbox however is coming off horrendously poorly in my opinion.
They are showing a disgusting and absolutely profound amount of ignorance
