Not that I have much of an option, but if fielding and animation are improved all I ask for is proper franchise mode behavior. Players shouldn't play until they're 45, drafted players shouldn't never get past 70 in rating, etc. Things like that crippled last year's franchise mode, and though My Player was tremendous…

So, does an RPG need to cater to non-RPG fans to be considered a GOTY? If not, why should a sports game be subject? If so, what RPGs have done this and also received such praise?
