@rolloutroad: But games like RnL strive for realism - and I feel they accomplish their goals quite well. If you don't like realistic styles, obviously, there are many other games.

Sounds a lot like the fantastic Orange Box mod Resistance and Liberation, which is about as realistic a WWII game you'll find. I highly recommend it to anyone interested, you won't be disappointed.

@brixish: Definitely. Kotaku is one of the only sites with (usually) high quality comments on (almost) all of their posts.

Whenever this happens I like to imagine a bunch of soldiers in Kotaku uniforms marching down a crowded, worried city street while this plays.

If there's one plus to living here in Philadelphia, it's that nothing apocalyptic happens with nature.

@Tpadz: Takes minimal effort to pour some frosted flakes into a bowl with some milk.

@Anthony Sarkees: The only games on that list that actually functions as an adventure in the vein of the rest of the series are Canvas Curse (which was excellent) and Tilt and Tumble. The rest are just games that feature the brand. Is Pokemon a puzzle series because the characters were featured in a Tetris knock off?…

@0bsessions: If it's been in almost all of the games, it's traditionally a core part.

I don't think I've ever spent less than 4 hours playing Civ. It's one of the only games that has pissed other people off because I don't ever stop playing.

@OhNoItsGojira: While I'm iffy of suddenly getting rid of what has traditionally been the center of the whole game, there's no reason this new system couldn't work just as well.
