Competition is good. I think Microsoft fell into a little bit of a lull when they were too comfortably at the top and they started making some mediocre products. This allowed the competition to gain on them from every direction forcing Microsoft to go back into innovating again.

They need some kind of technology to stop soccer players from hugging their knees every time a player on the other team touches leg hairs.

@PJ Edwards: Most computer monitors range from 72-120 dpi. So this new iPhone basically has 3x the number of pixels per inch, which means sharper images and text.

@arby: Agreed. Also, crappy leaking earbuds require the user to crank up the volume a good x2 the normal amount, often resulting in premature hearing loss. Spend a little more on earphones/headphones as an investment to your longterm hearing health.

Generally I find open headphones better. They sound better and are more comfortable to wear (no sweaty ears). So I own a pair of Sennheisers HD555's that I use at home.
