...boatloads of the base models and like 1-2 of the upper trim levels...

This was my exact thought also. FCA is in the same boat. Putting all of your eggs in the truck/CUV/SUV basket seems a tad short-sighted to me, especially in these days of uncertainty.

Ford’s new strategy

For example, the Fusion currently has 35,000 combinations, Ford said. Under Hackett’s vision, that’ll drop to just 96.

Or, to put it differently, Ford is doing the same thing as VW, Merc, Toyota. They’re recognizing that the laws in the biggest markets outside the US are changing so rapidly that it makes little to no sense to develop another generation of internal combustion engines. What they have now, in terms of the newer stuff on

I still don’t know that I NEED internet in my car

So some important person at Ford was thinking, “What should we name our EV division? We’ve got to compete with Tesla, and customers need to know that we’re competing with Tesla. If only there were some historical figure who was basically Tesla’s nemesis...”

We don’t really use it for a lot of highway driving, but it’s fine. It’s a little noisy; they made a ton of compromises in the name of efficiency, and sound deadening is clearly one of them.

I actually own an iQ. I don’t think it’s even 10 feet long. Maybe 8 or 9? It’s the second shortest car I’ve ever driven, after a Smart.

1st Gear: Kalanik founded the company and he ran it like a frat, resulting in a highly negative culture. He shouls be removed from the board, or promoted into a place where he has no control or voice.

Aston-Martin did it purely as a compliance exercise.

Forget Smart Cars, this thing would be perfect for a sneaky Hayabusa swap. The ultimate sleeper...everyone laughs, no one suspects.

You’ve obviously never seen how the French drive and park. Bumpers really are bumpers over there.

ah youve never been to a small european town. It drives me mental but in most southern countries (france, italy, spain) people park by reversing untill they hear a crunch and then driving forward until you hear another crunch then step out of your mangled car, lock it and be on your way. this could be entirely caused

It may not be from their parking difficulties, but from whoever was parking near them having problems with their parking.

I’m never ever moving back to Florida.

This car is textbook unicorn status to me. I would be a very happy man to be able to put one in my garage.

CP because of the fact that it could be crushed by overly eager customs officials at any moment.
