Most cars in this class didn’t have ABS standard then. It was standard on the Cavalier until 2003. Maybe it was standard the Golf too?

2001-2005 Honda Civic EX. I say the EX as this trim had ABS standard - ABS wasn’t even optional on lower trim levels.
