Mazda CX3 and the Yaris IA are both based on the Mazda2. Mazda elected to not sell the Mazda2 in the US after federalizing it.

The punchline is that the Toyota-badged Mazda2 is outselling Mazda’s version (ie, the CX3) by a wide margin....36k vs 16k in 2017.

My local Alfa dealer is also my local shady Fiat dealer.

The Fusion is still aging well design-wise, so that’s a plus.

As it is, the Elantra GT Sport isn’t that much cheaper than the GTI, especially if you want a manual transmission. And it’s nowhere near as fast.
