perhaps the wife is one of those "porn = cheating" types

Where did I say Corolla? or are you insinuating that a tC = Corolla somehow?

Insurance premiums will rule out the Porsche and Wrangler for most. I'm not sure how the Miata fares here.

Ford Transit Connect, short wheelbase.

my dad often recalls times he did this as a teenager in the Catskills. his siblings would pool their allowance/odd job money, pickup a used POS for that pocket change, and drive around the dirt roads until the car broke down/was totaled.

the Twingo wasn't manual only. it had a semi-automatic option called Quickshift.

I'm surprised that this list lacks a first-gen Scion xB. high-mileage, manual-spec versions can be had for under $4k, and unlike most of the cars on this list it will be relatively trouble free and good on gas.

Chrysler didn't learn anything from the mid2000s gas price spike. I'm not bothered so much by the lack of EVs in their plans, but by a lack of high fuel efficiency Cars in general. The 5 year Plan is clearly reliant on gas prices holding steady for the next few years...good luck on that.

did Kentucky lose 100% of its Toyota jobs because it is anti-business? CA is keeping half of its Toyota jobs.

except for all of your electronic devices

I was able to go on a media preview day. No wait to sit in anything (except the F-type coupe), and there was free booze.

Less weight, more power. Nice growl when you floor it. No angle issues to worry about when leaving pavement.
