I had a 308 for a roadtrip in France (Normandy). It was an e-HDI with the EGC transmission. For the motorways, it was good (over 50 mpg US and passing power) But once I hit a back road....ugh! and what an ugly car in person.
The story is about Japan, which doesn't have a 401k system. Japanese workers at Toyota still have corporate pensions (in addition to government pensions). Imagine that?
