I drove a Plymouth Acclaim with about 150k miles on the 4 banger. Traded it in and the rear axle hung lower on one side than the other. Check engine light on....

The bottom line is that Americans are bored with VW. Their sales are stagnant here in the US. They could use something like this to stimulate buyers.
