I’ve often related Lupin III to James Bond as well, and you’re exactly right. Even though the show has a million episodes, you can pretty much jump in anywhere and be up to speed very quickly. And like Bond, it’s all goofy stories, crazy gadgets, exotic locations, beautiful women, and fast cars. Never a bad decision

This is one of the few times I’ve seen a trailer for one of these adaptations and was able to instantly recognize every character shown. So that’s probably a good sign.

My first car ever was a plastic toy Fiero that my parents have baby pictures of me holding, and 30-someodd years later it sits on a shelf in my apartment.
