Saying it’s because they don’t know how to write software isn’t the same as saying it’s a mistake. If you don’t have a deep knowledge of the area you’re working in, you’ll design sub-par software in the first place by trying the wrong solutions to your problem, which is I think what the comment means.

I was about to say “if your PC is even capable of running at dangerous temperatures or overheating, it’s your fault” because many people don’t have their PC set up properly, then complain when it blue-screens under extreme load. If your PC can’t run at maximum load indefinitely without overheating, you’ve done

You’ve worked hard over the years to build a name for yourself. And it’s worked. I know you’ll be successful wherever you end up.

This is not necessarily a cop-out or a rookie mistake. Console coding relies on the understanding that the hardware is fixed. Getting the most out of the hardware often relies on these ‘cop-outs’. Sometimes it’s completely justified. It’s when you have to port, or in this case when the hardware changes out from under

Deep learning AI image interpolation programs are making this kind of thing seem way more likely, even for shows like B5. As the technology continues to improve, I would not be surprised to see it happen.

Nioh certainly took the ‘kitchen sink’ approach to design, and I’m sad to see it hasn’t been tightened up at all. You could cut probably 30% of the systems out of the game and lose nothing. On the contrary, sometimes less is more.

The reviewer beat the game in 40 hours, not 100s of hours. And, this may surprise you, but there’s more than one type of gamer, and that’s why they make more than one type of game.

Ah. Shit.

It’s interesting. I am not sure I would’ve made the same choice to tell your Grandfather. As a person, I like to think that the two most defining characteristics I have are my belief in truth and my dedication to honesty. But even then they are not absolute. I know a few secrets about my family which do not involve me

This creeps me out. When my uncle was in the army, it was normal and not worthy of comment to join specifically to get training in a trade that you could take back to the civilian world. To try and shame servicemen and women for that quite reasonable goal is frankly disgusting, especially in a democracy with a

“Countless soldiers have died to give you the right to free speech, expression, and protest without fear of government reprisal! And this is how you repay them, by exercising those rights? How ungrateful!”

I will never forget that fate was an H-game!

We have a winner.

Oh God... the Peace Museum. If the Peace Park is a somber celebration of peace and pacifism, the Peace Museum is a brutal condemnation of the horrors of nuclear war. It was super super hard not to break down and cry in public. It made me want to apologize to every Japanese person I meet for the rest of my life.

Tearing down a house because terrible people used to live there strikes me as odd. It’s not like statue, where it’s lionizing people whose actions we don’t approve of as a society.

My uncle lives in one of these huge plantation houses, and yeah, they’re beautiful. Really, really nice. Fascinating, in a way, the way all old buildings are.

Good on them. I got five friends to buy the game, including a blogger with some tens of thousands of readers. I think I have done my due diligence, and their hard work and talent have been rewarded.

Since Disco Elysium won out in all 4 of the categories it was nominated in, I suppose I can forgive it not being nominated for Game of the Year.

I’m about the biggest From fan you can find, but even I would chalk Sekiro winning up to it being a year with some pretty soft competition. Think of it as a win for all their previous games as well. I think it deserves the award, but in a stronger year it would probably lose.
