In this market, Epic is waging the only fight with any chance of success. Deploring their tactics might as well be saying “we’re fine with only one major distribution platform, ever.”

Isn’t this kind of a funny idea though? By looking down on craft beer that’s been bought by larger companies, and deciding to spend on smaller breweries instead, aren’t you just accelerating their path to corporate acquisition? ;)
I’m not sure how A-B treats their acquisitions, but we had a similar dust-up here in Texas not long ago when Miller-Coors bought Revolver Brewing, makers of Blood and Honey. I know more than one person who decided that because of that, they’d never drink it again. But, I know one of the guys who works at Revolver in…
From an economics perspective, the analogy doesn’t hold up. That’s why it’s not “grossly simple”. If you want to compete in the grocery business, the best way is to set up shop somewhere your strongest competition doesn’t have a foothold geographically. If you were to set up shop next to a Walmart for example, you’re…
Epic is trying to gain a foothold in the market the only way they possibly can. This is a classic case of why you can’t simply come out with a competing service and hope to actually compete with a long-standing industry giant. I like Steam a lot, but I prefer it when companies have to fight over my business rather…
Maybe someday. I think he has a bright future in politics.
Bernadetta is basically my project character. My primary goal in the game is to support and guide Edelgard and the others, but my secondary goal is to get Bernadetta as many friends as possible. Especially once you learn more about her story, it’s like... she never really had a fair shake at life.
I know that character. :)
Ah, I should’ve mentioned I’m playing on Hard. The big problem in the early missions was a lot of high attack speed enemies, and not enough characters who could take that kind of hit.
Black eagle was hard going in the first few missions, but I’ve leaned heavily into the whole magic thing, and my merry band is a wrecking crew. I’m starting to think magic is OP in this edition. At first I was surprised to see how few casts of things you get, but as you level you start getting more and more casts,…
And it will be fascinating!
This game never ceases to amaze me. I remember being shocked that people were still finding new tricks to win fights faster in 2006. Sometimes I think people will still be discovering little tricks in this game in 2050.
At least he hit the lights.
What do you mean by that?
Worrying about Biden walking away with the nomination seems just a tad shortsighted given that we’re going to get four more years of Trump if we’re not careful.
I don’t get it. How does one “steal keys?” Would this be like, someone working for a company with the ability to distribute keys, so they run a few dozen off, sell them on G2A, and when those keys are used legitimately they will already have been activated?
I didn’t read it as blame, more of just “this is why I made the decision the way I did.” It doesn’t seem like placing blame when you then immediately clarify that the decision you made was wrong.
I will never stop being sad that by the time I made it to Aki, the Radio Kaikan building was gone. :(
To touch on the Bioshock Infinite Daisy thing:
I’ve started thinking that this applies to literally everything. If you’re tense, no matter the task at hand, you won’t be able to perform even half as well as you could if you were relaxed.
