That’s the nice thing about sympathy. I can give it to people regardless of whether they deserve it, through the application of empathy.
God bless humans.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking there’s a certain set of facts everyone just knows. I’m constantly amazed at the things those around me have no knowledge of. I try not to assume malice over ignorance unless it’s really obvious, because we’re all incredibly ignorant on a wide variety of topics, it’s just that the…
It would be relatively easy to know that certain foods were associated with certain groups without knowing why, or why serving such foods might be okay in one circumstance (Cinco de Mayo) but not in others (MLK Day). As someone who grew up in an insular town, but have now been metropolitan for many years, I’ve found…
I dunno, there are a lot of people in the world. Large enough sample size, you come across all types.
It’s like you read my mind.
God how does this not have more upvotes?
It’s fun to be 17, isn’t it?
Spent 95 hours, beat it, and it’s probably my second favorite game in the series, with what is almost certainly the best ending in the series, with the only likely contender being VI, with its 19 minute banquet of an ending.
Generally I think Americans have some pretty weird ideas about what working a job means, and how much you have to subsume yourself to your employer, but on this issue I agree. Anyone who doesn’t feel they can perform the duties of their position without conflict due to their personal beliefs should resign. It seems…
Lesbians never die. Or wait, that’s legends. Uh-oh.
You’ll never go back.
Sure, I just meant there’s no need to refrigerate whatever stick you’re using presently. You must be a programmer to be so literal. ;)
The switch would be hard. You wouldn’t believe the time I’ve had convincing my friends you don’t have to (and for texture and ease of use, probably shouldn’t) refrigerate butter.
You know I once read that weeping about emotional things (not pain) was considered a manly trait in antiquity. It showed that you cared deeply about and were concerned with things, which was considered a very manly trait. These days it’s the opposite; one’s manliness is proportional to one’s ability not to care overly…
I always find this question fascinating, because it seems to me that if manliness is strength, real strength mind you, not physical strength, that the last thing a ‘real man’ would do is worry about whether anyone thinks he’s enough of a man. It takes great strength to be who you are with assurance, and not worry that…
Uhh, the magic in this game is ridiculously OP, at least all the way to level 45. It’s easily the strongest tool in my arsenal by a wide margin. Maybe it tapers off in another 30 levels, but so far it allows me to win combats that should be auto-losses without too much trouble.
It’s worth mentioning, the story segments weren’t meant to be the entire experience this time around. There are actually a fair number of things you can’t even do until the game is beaten. Opinion as to whether this is a good or bad thing, but I’m only on chapter 5 so we’ll see.
Laws? Where we’re going, we don’t need “laws.”
