Sure, I just meant there’s no need to refrigerate whatever stick you’re using presently. You must be a programmer to be so literal. ;)

The switch would be hard. You wouldn’t believe the time I’ve had convincing my friends you don’t have to (and for texture and ease of use, probably shouldn’t) refrigerate butter.
You know I once read that weeping about emotional things (not pain) was considered a manly trait in antiquity. It showed that you cared deeply about and were concerned with things, which was considered a very manly trait. These days it’s the opposite; one’s manliness is proportional to one’s ability not to care overly…
I always find this question fascinating, because it seems to me that if manliness is strength, real strength mind you, not physical strength, that the last thing a ‘real man’ would do is worry about whether anyone thinks he’s enough of a man. It takes great strength to be who you are with assurance, and not worry that…
Uhh, the magic in this game is ridiculously OP, at least all the way to level 45. It’s easily the strongest tool in my arsenal by a wide margin. Maybe it tapers off in another 30 levels, but so far it allows me to win combats that should be auto-losses without too much trouble.
It’s worth mentioning, the story segments weren’t meant to be the entire experience this time around. There are actually a fair number of things you can’t even do until the game is beaten. Opinion as to whether this is a good or bad thing, but I’m only on chapter 5 so we’ll see.
Laws? Where we’re going, we don’t need “laws.”
Hitbox has been used in other competitive fighting game tourneys for years without issues. You just make sure the programmable buttons are wiped or disabled prior to play as I recall.
Unions aren’t just about preventing abuse. If they were, law and regulation could take their place. But just as important, or perhaps even more so, is that unions exist to give workers a more even negotiating position vis-a-vis their employers.
This is my favorite post of the week.
I am so hard right now.
You gotta draw a line in the sand, says Dr. Nerdlove, and I agree. For all the same reasons. But man... it sure does hurt when they choose the other way. All these years later I still think it was the right thing to do... but you’ll always wonder what might’ve been possible if they’d chosen differently. Still, you…
How can you even read this shit without wanting to vomit?
By trying to keep a sense of perspective and not over-stating things for the sake of drama.
I grew up in a pretty poor family, but I did play Magic. I built my collection slowly, over time. Rarely buying, always trading, up and up and up, a bit at a time. I worked hard to build that collection, and I was proud of it. Then one night my entire collection, by then worth at least a couple thousand dollars, was…
The supreme court is why I crossed the isle for the first time, during Obama’s re-election campaign. For all the good it did me. I worry for all the people still fighting for their rights, and what the coming supreme court may bring. If we presuppose that Trump will not start a war during his presidency, the court is…
Simple. If you can never serve more than X terms, you can never rig the system, or the vote, in any way that would allow you more than X terms, no matter how clever your logic, or how great your power. Implicit rules are great most of the time, but if you truly want to prevent something from happening (in a game,…
Look on the bright side. The border wall won’t become a reality because it’s literally impossible. The geography would never support it even if you wanted to do it, and it’s so ruinously expensive it would never be approved. And even if it were approved, well, it would be a political debacle once it became clear what…
Forgive me for saying so, but the Democrats are just as conditioned to believe half the country is literally evil. You can’t go five feet in the comments without finding someone saying precisely half the country is racist, misogynist, bigoted, bible-thumping immigration-hating rednecks. No people with legitimate…
I do not doubt that what you say is true to some degree. I’m simply skeptical about magnitude. In a polarized 2 party system you could nominate a goldfish and get 40% of the vote. Most people will vote for their team regardless. But even those who voted for trump often disagreed sharply with him on immigration, Muslim…
