@protomech: Then somebody needs to strap a few more batteries to this thing and let it fly!

Yeah, but how much faster does it lap the 'Ring?

@AutobahnBurner: yeah I definitely brake for about 3 seconds when approacing a stop sign. Although, since I drive a stick, it's much easier to get started again if the car is still moving than it is to completely stop, then start again. It's also easier on the car.

Yamaha V-Max 4 750 cc snowmobile engine and CVT into a Geo Metro for a mid engined, rear-wheel drive masterpiece

@Roberto G.: To me it looks like somebody has taken pictures of their TV screen while watching a video of this car lapping the track. That makes even less sense

IF they ever do make this car again, and I truly hope that they do, they would have to make sure that they kept the original engine sound alive. That was one scary monster to listen to and I'd love to hear one blast past me on a street some day

Why do I get the feeling that that WONT buff right out?

@irishman72: The plan is to have an in-car camera when we're out racing/practicing. I'll be sure to get some video of the beast in action and post it for you to see. I wouldn't want to deprive you of our "F1" sound ;)

@irishman72: Hah, sadly no it's not a case of Lucas smoke. It's some sort of Lucas oil product. No idea what though.

@irishman72: Just for the record, our snowmobile engine will put out between 120 and 140 hp ;)

@irishman72: To make a long story short, we're putting a Yamaha V-Max 4 750cc snowmobile engine into the back of a Metro to make it a mid-engined, rear wheel drive 24 hours of Lemons race car.

@irishman72: Before we planned the snowmobile swap we had planned to run two metro engines in the car. The trick was finding 2 identical engines and transmissions with the same ratios. we soon realized that this was going to be nearly impossible, so we figured we would try something equally rediculous, but hopefully

@twitchykun(lvl. 75 otaku Hoon): I have never witnessed so much ignorance in my life before. This is better than the kid with the Corolla talking about having Honda Si heads and saying that his alternator was a turbo

Tata Nano. The most unsafe racing you can have on 4ish wheels

@irishman72: Just you wait. A rival is coming...

It's a Hyundai. Nuff said. Crack Pipe
