You are right in everything, specially the latter: I can't think of having a vacation without my kids (ages 9 to 16 as of today), so I rather make the effort of travelling with them now even if that means that I may have to limit my income in the future. They are kids only once in our lives, so I can't postpone that.

Why travel and enjoy life when you're old and full of aches? Why wait until maybe you won't even be able to enjoy life? I don't have debts right now, but I rather do all the "fun stuff" now and then work + save when I'm old and bored at life. The end is the same either way.
