my guess a bit overwhelmed by being on a track and not being aware of what was going on around them. Quite probably having a panic attack after being swarmed by a bunch of cars going much faster than them, and just wanting to get off the track.

It might just be that I’ve been on track with enough first timers to know not to try to pass someone that slow going into the corner.
