WFH is the single biggest thing that could help save our rural towns. Speaking form experience, when you go to college from a 2000 person town, there are usually no jobs to use your degree with back home.

My wife also grew up in the city and learned to drive at 32. Her first car was a 1990 740 turbo sedan. She loved it. Now she has a 91 740 wagon because she wants to haul more stuff. You were on the right track with the $300 1985 volvo.

I have to correct this a little. They didn’t “swiss-cheese” him as Chappelle claims. They fired flash-bang grenades into the cabin he was at until it caught fire (knowing it would catch fire). They burned him alive on live TV. It was fucking brutal, but not surprising.

To me, the Edge was Ford’s best looking vehicle outside of the Mustang.  The problem is that it’s EXPENSIVE.  It’s barley less than an Explorer with way less utility.  The thing should have been priced just above the Escape in the mid-high 20's, instead you can get an Explorer for about $1500 more.

American tradition seems to be that Republicans take power, transfer a whole bunch of money to themselves and their friends, then take a dive in the election to let a Democrat president take the pain of rebuilding while the Repubs grandstand and throw mud. Rinse and repeat.

NY State, and probably the city, have laws that make it a crime to file a false police report and misuse of 911. If those aren’t going to be enforced in a case as blatant as this - what makes anyone think a hate crime law will be?
