It wasn’t on Kickstarter. It was funded via the developer’s own crowdfunding platform. Backers got access to development builds for the PC and, depending on their backing level either got a discount towards the final PC release or a free copy of the PC release (and some free DLC at higher levels).

I really wonder where this idea has come from as it’s laughably false. I’d really like to see the “evidence” to back it up :D

You mean the comment that was entirely obviously unambiguously a joke?

A sad day indeed.

Not so. The first F1 driver fatality as a result of an incident during a race weekend.

Paulo Gislimberti at the Italian GP, 2000. He was struck by a wheel which became detached in a multi-car accident at Variante della Roggia (the second chicane).

Confirmed, he posted that he’d be driving it at Goodwood in a private forum I have access to.

The BBC had a reporter speaking live to the camera from Goodwood this morning, as the P 4/5 was being parked up at the side of the shot. I wanted so much for the camera operator to ignore the reporter and move to the car ;)

There is still a dedicated team working on Project CARS and support on the sort of timescales you mention has been explicitly promised. Just because the company is working on the sequel doesn’t mean that they’ve dumped the current game entirely!

It would be somewhat tricky to crowdfund the second game without announcing the second game though.

It was an interesting (if potentially very serious!) accident. Although Kimi seems to be taking responsibility the FOM coverage didn’t include any footage from Alonso’s car. I’d very much like to see that to understand how Alonso came to be in the position to be on the outside in the first place.

Indeed. Even when he replied to the question about treating the race as a test and said that all the new parts were on Alonso’s car he just sounded matter of fact rather than showing any resentment.

If you mean Hamilton’s off then David Coulthard’s analysis on the BBC coverage was that Hamilton’s left rear touched the track edge white line which may still have been wet.

Yes, I’m from and live in northern England and spent some years living in London also.

Span as the past tense of spin is apparently considered archaic now (I just looked it up because of your comment!). The modern equivalent would be spun, but I think I prefer span and will stick to it as it’s valid - albeit very old fashioned :D

Hamilton span into the first corner, as his inside rear wheel locked.

It’s a shame that the lighting and weather isn’t dynamic - as it is in Project CARS though.

That or the sidewall rubbing against the bodywork between the wheels. When I saw it happen I expected the tyre to deflate afterwards because I thought perhaps it was the edge of the floor...

It sounds glorious in person too. I attended the British GT race at Donington last year and it was easily the best sounding and most absurd yet somehow great looking car running there :)

The official livesteam states (via Google Translate):
