This is TRUE.

I can say with a great deal of confidence that I, after many viewings of the Shining and a generally keen cinematic eye, have never noticed Al Yankovich in that picture before.

You know, I used to think that also (and like very few of his movies), and then I listened to his interview on the Nerdist podcast. What really comes across is that he has been in the industry so long, and had so many ups and downs and sideways and luck and hits and misses, that he takes it all with a shrug, a smile,

And yet Adele changed her nose, and big time. So yeah. Her self-acceptance is imperfect, which I get, it's true of us all - but it does mean I find this sort of commentary annoying self-flattering and a bit delusional.

It's more complicated than that.

I listen to his podcasts and read most of his articles, and I disagree strongly with the last two, as it takes quotes out of context and places them as encompassing his whole view. He pisses me off often, but that's one of the reasons I enjoy him. Racism: Haven't heard that one, not saying it doesn't come from

Beautiful. He knows there's nothing to say to that, since it made the point so perfectly.

Oh, wow.

To repeat the first commenter, as a female counterpart, just keep looking for that. There are women who are also too geek for the normal boys but not quite comfortable with the 100% geeky boys. Trial and error!

*laughs* Don't worry I will I will! Just curious and gathering intel, reading this whole thread very closely.

I have! My last shenanigans were ridiculous, but they were greatly effected by fibroids that have since been removed. I should try again, but I must admit I'm afraid of the side effects! So you recommend Demulen?

I responded the same thing above, but my doctor ruled IUDs out after a Mirena fell out!

I mistakenly thought Mirena was the copper one below, and was very wrong! I love the idea, but I did have the Mirena, it fell out, and my doctor said she did feel that when she put it in my cervix was very open and she didn't recommend a re-try.

I apologize, you're right! Sorry for the misinformation.

Yes! The Mirena. It fell out, I kid not, it was horrible, and my doctor then noted that she was surprised how easily it went in and she suspected my cervix was too wide. (And I shouldn't attempt that one again.)

Thank you! It's funny, because for some people they're a miracle and for others they make existent hormonal issues significantly worse.

The down side of the Depo Provera is that for a surprisingly high number of women it makes ones period significantly *worse* for a while, or, as it did for me, for months, and exacerbated my anemia? Not trying to be "ALL BC IS HORRIBLE!" Woman, because my experience is definitely the exception to a wonderful thing,

And then there are those of us who, unfortunately, cannot take any form of hormonal birth control without issues. I've done it all - IUDs, Depo, Nuvarings, Seasonale, Ortho-Tri (which was awesome in my 20s and then suddenly started messing with me!)... and they have all failed me and messed me up in different ways

If it is an indoor cat, it does not effect the cat's ability on a day to day basis. Mine are not declawed - I own nothing that needs protection from them - but I have met many incredibly healthy, happy, well-adjusted rescue cats who are declawed and suffer no loss of quality of life for it. They are cats. They would

Foster Wallace had so much understanding and compassion it makes his work often hard to read, what with its searing understanding of depression and hopelessness. Not said in a spirit of sarcasm, but an honest assessment. That sort of statement is not slagging off on AA, to my eyes, he's making a joke that true
