she didn't gain 50lb. she gained a baby and some extra weight on top of that.

Watching Mel Brooks Strikes Back and was just reminded of how much better Wilder was in The Producers, too. Matthew Broderick??? PUUHLEASE.
Some would say he's the man's man's man.
No, Ron Swanson is the man's man.
Oompa doompa doopity ducks!
She was pregnant. That's not "something that needs to be fixed".
Wilder is completely right (and also Gene Wilder). Yes, his version took liberties, but at least it wasn't a complete hijacking of the source material that combined another soulless, cynical Burton/Depp Hot Topic ad with a "paint your feelings" exercise for Burton's daddy issues. I really wish they'd let the Tim…
So... you're both trolls?
The Adlerian is a giant troll cultivated on a small philosophy board who disguises himself with backward arguments filled with heresay and half-truths. Beware.
Actually, I had the pleasure of driving him to a show due to a bit of luck and a good friend who was organizing a festival in my city that he was headlining, who knew what I was a huge Patton fan. He was lovely and gracious to my husband and I and met with every fan after the show who waited to meet him. He was very…
Indeed. I'm quite skeptical of YOUR information.
Wow! That is your insult to people who disagree with you? Old ladies and truck stop waitresses? Hey, I don't deny being condescending to the willfully ignorant, but there are so many questions! for example, how does one sound like something where there is no sound? How do "old lady things" work, and how do they…
Right. I think part of my problem with it was the imbalance—there were twenty something paragraphs in the rape-joke section of the essay (yes, I counted). Only the last 3 held any acknowledgment that rape culture actually does exist. The other 17 or 18 were all about his rationalizations.
The rape joke section of the essay in general, I dunno, I kept waiting for him to come to some profound point through his rambling but I felt like he never really got around to it. The best part is the part quoted by candysummers. But, really, that's it? Good, you shouldn't be dismissive of a woman just because you're…
Thank you this means a lot as a rape victim it is really upsetting that no matter how much evidence i show that he is still defending him or what he has said in the past aka attacking the women on twitter, they still defend him because they are a fan.
Yeah, this disappointed me, big time. I love Patton Oswalt. Always have, always will. But the fact that he defended Tosh at all—at any point, let alone the fact that he continues to defend his "joke" and delinates it from his "reaction," to which he gives a rather milquetoast rebuke—that really, really disappoints…
Yeah, but I thought this whole essay was him saying he was wrong. I like it when people who have made mistakes actually realize why they were wrong, and admit to it.
Yet he defended a comedian (Daniel Tosh) who told an audience member it would be funny if she got raped.
