How many parents would pony up the money to take their kid to EVO (Entry fees, hotel rooms, food, gas)? It's not like it's an exclusive club where only the elite can play. As long as you have the money then you can enter.

I agree. I was livid when I discovered none of them would be in Sonic 4. What a god-awful excuse for a Sonic game.

Yeah sorry I didn't mean to sound smug or rude, just pointing out that they are really supposed to be the same game, and something crazy happened along the way. That's why CDs sonic sprite looks closer to Sonic 1 than 2.

I'm so glad it's going to be 2D 16-bit gloriousness. I loved the first 2 games but sub-par graphics are sub-par. I can't wait.

I wasn't going to get this game until now. I love the series, but I would rather have DR3 than a rehash of DR2, but free roam will make it all worth it. I probably won't even play through the story.

Wrong. It was developed at the same time as 2 by different people, and was originally supposed to be Sonic 2. It was only released a few months after Sonic 2. Sonic CD has a weird history. Sonic 2 was developed in America, Sonic CD was developed in Japan.

I just sold my VHS copy... I miss it already but I have no VCR so it wasn't doing me much good. I agree, I loved it. Then again I love anything Sonic from the 90's... Except for Sonic Underground... I pretend it never happened.

That's sad to hear. Hopefully when they fix those problems you can enjoy the game as much as I do. My only complaint is that there is no sandbox mode where you can just go crazy and create what you want.

I'll be finishing From Dust... Man, if I didn't get my 360 for free I would have bought one just for this game. It's amazing.
