Pack, Play, Hike!
"Kingston James and The Giant Peach"
Is Johnny doing ad work now? That emblem on the boat seems to translate into some variation of "peaceful shipyard".
One that always make me laugh is "The Grey Lady". Makes me think of the NYT among other things!
"Damn it! I forgot to pack the Diflucan!"
I wear my sunglasses at night so I can tone down the glare of my neon shoes and lips!
@knyne: If I had a star this comment would be promoted!
@rowingrowingrowing: No, that was not what I was saying at all and hopefully explained myself clearly in my latest long-winded post in response to marciax3. :)
@marciax3: Admittedly I did not just go back and read what I wrote but I don't think I mentioned be surprised of parenting being consuming. Seriously, I look at my parental friends and can't imagine how they do it. What I was surprised about was that a good number of these women couldn't see themselves as anything…
@Dancingfrog: I don't find any negativity in the fact that people find meaning in what they do for a living, a cause or a hobby. It's only natural, however, that meaning doesn't mean you are one dimensional.
@Clare116: I got it it and was just playing off one side that statement could be read as. Either way, I am confident "Norma Neufner" is awesome, in general. :)

@Donovanesque: Oh good! One more year until I hit 40!
@marciax3: I say certain because not everyone feels the same or shares the same views about the same situations. By no means did my use of the word "certain" indicate that I find all moms (or dads) as a general group feel that being a parent gives them meaning as a person. :)
@Norma Neufner Lady Officer: Bravo!!!!
@marciax3: Did you take offense to something I said? It was shocking to me that so many in a group before me couldn't see themselves as having any meaning in the world other than being a mom. I really felt bad that somewhere along the line these amazing woman who had many goals they set out meet somehow lost site of…
@Norma Neufner Lady Officer: A few years ago I was on a Creative Team where I had to mentor and create creative challenges to a group that were mostly moms. The project challenge I selected for that day was an All About Me project but, with one rule, motherhood was not allowed to enter the project. About 3/4 of the…
@kellieherson: Are you my niece?? LOL Just kidding. You should print that post and send it your aunt. :)
Two of the most ridiculous and insulting statements I have had to listen to regarding my choice not to have children are:
@Pantra: Standing ovation!
