Gave the game several hours but its mostly filler. You fight so many trainers, ahem Tamers, on every corner and you can’t skip them. So what would be a much faster experience just drags along due to the fights. Not to mention that these NPCs love to tell you a story before you actually fight them.

So what’s the story with those S&M Bulls? I played DQXI and I thought there were hilarious, specially Dave. Then I played DQ VIII and realized it’s a thing in the series. 

not that, but where the first part would end. Besides a comment about “the midgard section being big enough for its own game” , there’s been no talks about how the game will be divided or how many parts, how the progress will be carried on etc.

I feel so uneasy about this “part 1" that I feel this leak might had confirmed my fears.

Well by nonsense missions I don’t mean story related missions, but those “Kill 10 crabs” go back to NPC, “Oh you needed to get 5 salts from the crabs, kill some more”, “good now go to another npc to cook the salt”, “go back to first npc”, “now spray the salt on the ? to get generic monster to appear”, “report back to…

I have, and Wow now and Wow before it’s still the same game. They have reworked tons of stuff, but FFXIV Version 1 and FFXIV now, is a different game.  

I mean that was just recreating the old zones to allow flying. FFXIV could use a cataclysm for that cause the not being able to fly on old zones feels so weird now.

That’s good I think. I stopped playing shortly after Cataclysm, went back a bit during Pandas but got bored of their starting zone and stopped playing lol.
