Absolutley every piece is different, it doesn't have the ugly fog lights, the proportions are fixed, and the engine is up from 5.5l to 5.7l, with a good deal more power. Also the interior looks fantastic on the production version, rather than suffering from that earlier 2000's horrible "new tech" treatment.

Carrera GT without a doubt!

That is just stupid!

Also, Porsche claims they have a decent amount of time left in the 918's lap should they need to better it.

Very true. Once at 8pm in VA I was on the highway with my father driving passing a truck. I was mid sleep as well, and all of the windows were down. I was awaken by a noise that can only be compared to what you'd assume the first impact with the ground would sound like if you drove off a cliff.

Come on, that glovebox test was hilarious.

Take a crash course (no pun intended) on the Carrera GT, and then reread your post. You will probably laugh quite a bit, as did I (and not just at the turbo reference).

Very well said. Take for example, Allan Simonsen's crash. Didn't look too bad at all, but claimed a life. Now, take a look at how the Audi R18 likes to absolutley explode upon impact, but keep the driver perfectly safe and sound. Only a fire prevented this in the case of Roger and Paul. :-(

A flat-8 would've been awesome!

Yup, there is an option for only electric power, but if you change the mode, or start getting into it, the engine kicks in. So basically, yes, you can have the engine on all the time if you choose.

And Walter Roehrl was driving. He won the WRC once... ;-)

Both look good, but the CGT is better. The best looking car of the 21st century IMHO.

It won't be a clusterfuck for "years". Either next year or the year after that they are coming out with new regulations for the Prototype cars that will eliminate DP and P2 from the series for a more focused class with cars that were meant to race together.

It looks and sounds great, and a ton are in manual (I think as of now the auto-manual ratio is in our favour).

True, Kia has been shit for ever and is just starting to get good, while Nissan has been good forever, and is now starting to go to shit, except the GT-R.

But they made it into a "concept" car which means this is a one off car. My question is what in the hell is the point in making a CONCEPT version of a car you already produce?

Good Lord this is one of the most beautiful cars ever built.

I don't really think their resale is "remarkable". Not long ago TRG was selling some of their Grand Am Cup S GT3s for around $65k.

Why the hell do manufactures make concept versions of cars already in production? Are they really that lazy they can't just roll out a face lifted model?
