Precisely.

Exactly. So what we're getting here is that the tires make the biggest difference, but AWD also contributes to road-holding ability in adverse conditions, at least when it comes to acceleration and hill-climbing abilities.

Tires make the most difference but I disagree with the assumption that AWD makes little or no difference on its own. Compare the two on all-seasons, and then put winters on the FWD if you want to illustrate that difference. It seems like that would be a more practical estimation of its usefulness since most people

Even not tailgating, he may not have had anywhere to go if there were cars to his sides. Hard braking and/or swerving may have just caused more problems. Any comments on this guy's "driving skill" are pure speculation.

That doesn't surprise me due to the fact that the dummy was being hit with a car, not a pillow.

His is the 80, mine is a 90, but there was no 90tq unless it's modified. The 80 had the NG 10V 5-cyl and the 90 had the 7A 20V 5-cyl. Later Audi 90s had V6s.

As an early-'90s Audi owner, I have to pick the S4. I'd love to have one, really. This Peugeot just doesn't match up. It's like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Or a Frenchman to a war with Germany.

Lol, maybe. Are you the kind of person who spends hours playing potentially (not seriously) crime-inducing video games? Do you have a lack of familiarity with '80s cars? If so, get yourself into a Trans Am GTA today! :D

Haha, you're somewhat close. KITT had a lot more gadgets though. This is a late '80s Trans Am GTA.

You millennials can keep your fancy distracting dashes. Bah humbug!

Why do you think handbrake turns are only done by idiots? That's not even true at all.

Yeah, I do try to drive according to the conditions. I brake much earlier, slow down more than necessary for corners, etc. Both of my cars have sufficient traction with all-seasons to drag themselves down mostly level roads even through snow deep enough to touch the undercarriage, so getting going isn't much trouble,

Have you seen the Model S in person yet? That's what sold me on it. It's a striking sedan.

It is starting to come back around, but it's a shame that designers don't have as much free reign as they did in previous eras. If only technology and lack of legislation had coincided... *sigh*

I'm not even sure if I can speak about "modern cars" with my newest being my 17 year old Grand Prix, but in the winter, there's a noticeable difference in engine sound when I drive off cold and when it's warmed up a little. I usually wait a minute or two if I've got the time. In the first couple minutes, I can hear

"Need" is all relative. I live an area that gets its fair share of snow and ice and I don't have snow tires on either of my cars because I haven't been able to afford them. All the same, I haven't crashed either one in snow or ice.

They'd have to adjust for brake horsepower vs the old horsepower measurements, but it is still impressive nonetheless.

I'm not really sure how much of the race crowd for either race is or will be local, but the problem I foresee is that they're trying to milk those local crowds into going to two races. As a former resident of Speedway, I'd be a lot more likely to go to the 500, and I wouldn't necessarily want to go to two races in the

Lol, I think you're missing my point somewhat. I know what you mean, and I know about VAG-COM, and the various bulbs, but what I don't know is what YOU would do when you said they could be reprogrammed. I thought it was a weird statement because it sounded like you meant I could somehow program them to be amber. Like

I know generally about VAG-COM as the owner of an early '90s Audi, but I wondered what you specifically meant about reprogramming the turn signals. Program them to do what?
