I think the always online is fine as long as you have a fully offline mode as well and keep the two separate, so nobody can hack in items. You don't want a situation like dark souls where you can cheat engine a ridiculous item. Hopefully blizzard learned their lesson. It should be like this:

It's so you can see them better. You'll notice some NPC's (like thrall) in raids that are normally sized outside of raids become massive inside the instance.

I prefer the mario 64/sunshine games on console where you have multiple missions for a single area, and that area changes depending on the mission. I can't really explain why, but I absolutely loved 3d land on the 3ds but had a hard time even completing world 2 in 3D world without getting really bored.
