I can’t wait to finally see this guy onscreen for an extended period of time. Should be fun.
Avatar was a testament to Camerons skill as a filmmaker. There was not an interesting or involving idea anywhere in that script, but he managed to make a film that, at it’s very worst, is engrossing to watch and perfectly paced. I would have to say he probably has the best track record of any major director.
Looking good, fun. I love that COLOR finally arrived for DC movies.
Also, jesus fucking christ Gal Gadot is absurdly beautiful.
Damn, that theme song at the end is fan-friggin-tastic!
While I think the comments about over-familiarity/overuse of the same kind of plot is true, I also think it gets overstated here. Yeah, the only one I’ve ever been interested in is Frasier’s apt.
Frasier’s Apartment to me is still the gold standard.
My impossible expectation is that Winona Ryder is going to cry more than 100% of the time.
It’s whining because I find a director interesting and likeable and I point out that an io9 writer does him a disservice?
This article’s headline: snarky
Negativity from Peyton Reed in this article = basically zero
Nah. I’m a realist. Disney has proven themselves time and again to have a generally higher standard for quality than pretty much anyone out there except maybe HBO, and while they’re a money-making corporation first and foremost, they also seem to be one of the few that gets that really good, emotional, honest…
Or he just landed on Mars without a spacesuit:
Nope.
