I actually thoroughly love Waterworld. It may rip off Max Max 2 in a way, but the setting in water was never done like this before and there is plenty of action and eye candy shots. So I don't find a director change is visible, but I would have liked the Everest sign.

Here's what I wrote shortly after:

Come on, we all know how "easy" it is to make a trailer look good, especially if the film behind it doesn't even exist. It just takes a good cutter. So, this would probably not be the best action film 2011, because M:I GP is pretty brilliant.

I have less and less a clue what to expect of this film. I just hope it doesn't get too philosophical or preachy.

Heh, same here. I mean, I don't even realize all its flaws while watching it, I just get them summarized here. But yeah, looking forward to it each week. The season finale will supposedly have some tragic losses, we'll see how that works out with the lighthearted nature.

Josh Brolin really looks like the young TLJ. What new interpretations of No Country for Old Men does that open up?

I couldn't disagree more with the man.

There is a long history of trailers that looked awesome and the movies behind them turning out more or less disappointing. I hope this is not one of those cases, because what I've seen so far gets me as excited as scenes from the Star Wars films. Please don't suck!

You know, disagreeing with what the internet always assumes to be common taste is not always trolling. I entirely agree with Touchstone here. And even though I enjoy Firefly I trust posters who dislike it more than those who think Whedon is the second coming of Christ (just as an example).
