Actually on average girls are less expensive. Prom dresses cost more than renting a shitty tux, but orthopedic surgery can be pretty expensive. I can't stand it when people with a serious axe to grind use biomedical research to lie to the public. Even taken at face value (assuming that their numbers about to dogs' dangers are objectively correct), they are using RELATIVE risk reduction rather than ABSOLUTE risk reduction.
