The i8/918/P1/LaFerrari have proven that hybrids can be serious performance cars. Toyota should turn the boring Prius C into something special. It's already light at just 2,500 lbs, and it just needs a little more power and suspension tuning to become an interesting hot hatch.

I think that goes to show how hard it is to truly manage an "apples to apples" comparison. If you're at a smaller/older gas station, the pumps are slower than many of the big(ger) chain companies - which does change time to fill. Same as Supercharger vs. small-scale charger; it's just that the time delta is HUGE on…
No one said it was the right car for every situation. My current car can't even go that far on a tank of gas, so in my case it's a non-comparison.

Except that you can stop for 20 minutes at a Supercharger station and be up to half charge, and then be on your way again. And who drives 500 miles without stopping at least once for food/restrooms? At 70 MPH average, that's still over 7 hours nonstop.
