Good intel on the barefoot thing, I actually believed that one. I do that in my Jeep all the time when it’s warm and I’m wearing flip flops. To me it always felt way safer than possibly getting a flop caught under a pedal.

Or they get a gynecologist friend to do a “procedure” that is bulled out as something else. People of means or with connections have always had access to abortion. Roe just meant it was no longer limited to women from affluent families.

lol, no, it’s on the DNC for fucking things up and running a candidate who couldn’t even look more likeable than Trump.  Complete and utter systematic failure and the only liberal thing you could say about Hilary Clinton is she sure lost a fuckton of money losing that election.

Sometimes that’s the same person with this lot.

Daughter or mistress.

Every anti-choice Democrat should be primaried. What is the point of even having them? It’s such a disingenuous argument that you need to be anti-choice Democrats to win supposedly red districts. Even if someone is a single issue, anti-abortion voter, they are always going to vote for a Republican over a Democrat,

Collin Peterson of MN is a Blue Dog Dem. Tell me more about how it’s so important to keep backing these shitty anti choice Dems for that all important majority in the chamber.

Fuck every asshole that tells me I have to sacrifice my uterus for the greater good of your personal slice of “heaven” in a red state. For the

Dear America. “The Handmaid’s Tale” was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual.

You’d just be rolling the dice that there’d actually be a) a seat and b) no one of a higher status than you.

As my father always says “what would it take for you to stand in that small closet over there for 4 hours? Would you do it for $2,000?” If the answer is yes, never buy a first class ticket. The price of entry is incredibly disproportionate to the added comfort you receive.

I would think it would be a better idea from a PR standpoint to offer a free upgrade to passengers who are a part of the airline’s loyalty/rewards program whenever they cut off booking. It makes the first class seats look more sought after to other passengers if the seats are full, it makes the upgraded passenger(s)

Correct. In a world where the standard rule is “every empty seat is a free for all after takeoff” there will be melee near first class as people try to nab the empty seats, especially on long-haul flights, resulting in fights and inevitable delays/diversions (beacuse you know we can’t have nice things).

Can we also create a rule of etiquette that it is inappropriate to press your current nutrition myth on other people unless invited to do so? This goes triple if you happen to have some financial/MLM interest in it.

Exactly, I drink an insane amount of water but realize that it’s not normal or necessary and caffeine has such a small diuretic effect that it’s not even close to offsetting the amount of liquid ingested with it. I guess if you’re popping caffeine pills dry, you might have a problem.

Ooh yeah, and cleansing

Can we add hydration myths please? ”You must drink ridiculous amounts of water dailyand “Caffeinated beverages are dehydrating” really irk me.

But not everyone knows that and
"Since juices don't include much fiber, the body ends up absorbing more fructose sugar, which—as we all know—isn't good for you:"

Reads as
"Since juices don't include much fiber, the body ends up absorbing more fructose sugar. Fructose sugar, as we all know, isn't good for you." Which

Oh, it's not that fructose is bad, it's that without the fiber you're just getting the fructose, which can cause some problems, especially if you're diabetic or have insulin problems

Can we please stop saying fructose is bad for you? The statement is demonstrably false. If it were bad for you, you'd see the effects in fruititarians like Harley Johnstone and Steve Jobs.... well... I mean, he's dead, but not because of fructose. PROCESSED sugar may be bad for you. Fructose in its natural state is

Well, there's not always a source because there's no reason to do a big study here, we know that's not how the body works, which all the experts here agreed with. As I also pointed out in the article, it's IMPOSSIBLE to study any of the claims from these detoxes because none of them give specifics.
