Rhubarb coffee cake with lots of brown sugar is one of the best things in the world.

Put your used clothes up on your neighbourhood FreeCycle or Facebook BuyNothing groups. If there are holes, let people know, but even so, people can use them for rags, quilts, etc. It’s surprising when someone *doesn’t* want something, I’ve found.

Well, at least they had an Android story for a change.

If you’re not in front of the front of house line arrays, you’re mostly getting the sound on stage, which these days is frequently very little. A lot of bands run at low volumes and use in-ear monitors.  You need to get at least out front of the PA to get even close to a properly mixed sound. Still worth it to have

I’ve often said that this is a complete Apple fan site, but seriously, you’re trolling me, aren’t you?

I’m getting extremely sick of it myself.  The level of Apple worship here is disheartening.

If I ran the world, and I really think I should, manufacturers making anything disposable would be required to include the cost of proper disposable in the price of the item.

It still amazes me how many people put up with Windows.  Maybe it’s time for an article on installing a Linux distro?  Ubuntu, Mint, or my fave, Kubuntu. With all the seeming concern about privacy these days, running Linux would seem to be a no-brainer.

I use that as well.  Nice to avoid stuff from companies that develop for a closed, locked down platform like iOS first as well.

Not just Windows only, but requires running “UPlay” as well as an account.

Perhaps there should be a separate entity of Kinja for all the Apple stuff; there’s certainly enough of it. LifeHacker could get back to being slight more about “Life Hacks” and less about advertising for a tech company.  Just a suggestion.

I’d buy it from Google just so I wouldn’t be giving more money to Verizon for crappy service.  If people keep giving them money, they’re not going to change.

Using something that’s not very cross platform seems quite silly. Really, likewise anything that requires an actual phone number. Hangouts is fine, but has no encryption, etc. What about Telegram or Signal? Not sure about number of users, but they’re nicely cross platform and are encrypted.

I’ve been called sexist on social media and had to block people because I hold doors open (for all genders, btw).  People suck.

You’d think they’d target Android as it’s actually the OS they use on their own devices.

Try connecting with a live Linux boot (from USB) and see if it still occurs. This will help determine whether it’s a hardware or driver problem, if its on the laptop end of things.

Linus has had this functionality for years (in KDE Dolphin). It is handy on occasion.

Ketchup? HP Sauce FTW!!!!

I don’t think you can using normal methods. It’s always listening and sending data. Microsoft’s new targets are big data and AI.

Good luck, that’s got some serious style.
