The fact that Brother printers also have Linux drivers available is really nice for those of us that *only* use Linux. It makes set-up a breeze, and is a significant factor in purchasing for some of us. Thanks Brother!

No love for ThunderBird users yet? I already use EnigMail, but compatibility with friends is nice and I prefer to keep that sort of thing out of a browser.
There are also launchers that let you increase the size of the icons and lock them in place, or even replace them with text. Then there's widgets from the really common stuff. It's nice to have the ability to customize (again, Android only though). I really can't figure out why people say an iPhone is easy to use. The…
That and giving money to Apple is a bit offensive to those that still believe in open computing.
Personally, I use KeePassX synced over a file sharing service, with a key file on each device. It's open source, and I trust it. I have little trust for closed source apps and service these days, especially those based on the US. It's also free, which is an added bonus.
So don't reward them with your money. For prices like this they're quite obviously after Apple customers anyway.
Google+
Or people could stop buying cables that put form over functionality. Just a thought.
No idiot rapper hat and vapid look.
Rich integration with a proprietary platform is not a plus. This is a huge downside for these cars for those that have not bought into the limited Apple eco-system. Like most things, there should be open protocols for the auto interfaces.
It's far worse than either of those examples.
Glance has it as one of its built in functions. Great app.
Think of Google+ as your common Google identity. It used to be GMail (effectively) when it wasn't integrated with YouTube. I tried tying the two together at that point and it was painful. The common identity is Google+. You don't need to actually use any of the social features, it's just an account. You can also just…
Same here, but unique, generated passwords using KeePassX. I originally avoided LastPass, but I hear they've got 2-factor now and that makes a big difference. The vast majority of folks still use the same password for everything though.
Sorry dude. Good thing you can install things like this.
I thought it was. Wifi Direct has been in Android for a couple of releases ... or at least I thought it was. It's available from the menu under WiFi settings.
The other interesting bit is this is the same open protocol that Apple neutered, renamed to AirDrop, and supports only on their locked platform. This is why we can't have nice things.
True. They've been exceptionally well-behaved as companies go, but that may not always be the case. Of course, the same applies to any specific person you trust as well.
This is great. I just wrote a cover letter last night and I think I covered every point here. Let's see how this works out.
You actually get the mechanical advatage when using the keys by having the rest of the keys at 90 degrees to the one being used. You would actually have quite a bit more advantage than a normal key.
