Fortunately, Samsung brought the SD card slot back, and has kept the headphone jack. It was a reason for me however to abandon HTC, even though I always used HTC devices.

And if it’s during the third week of July: come to Nijmegen. We’ll be having a massive weeklong party. Although don’t expect to easily find a hotel that week.
King’s Day is on April 27th, not the 28th ;)
My aunt had that set and I made a couple of meals with it. Especially considering the price, I kind of disliked working with them. I actually prefer the very much cheaper IKEA GNARP set.

Just use the name of a relative/friend as a middle name. I have multiple middle names (common over here) and was named after my grandmothers, and my godmother. Had I been a boy, then my names would have been my grandfathers’, and my godfather’s. Simple, and passes the abovementioned tests.
I’d wish that Google would just hurry up with adding more languages to Google Assistant, because then my grandfather (who has vascular dementia) might even be able to use it. Might even be easier than his regular cellphone that’s “designed for elderly people”.
I go to the cinema a lot lately, after getting a subscription for one of the largest cinema chains in the Netherlands. It’s €28 per month (which is roughly the same as 2 IMAX movies in 3D) and allows me to go to as many films that I want. The cinema also isn’t very strict about people bringing their own food (I’ve had…
Fun fact: tomatoes are apparently healthier if they are processed e.g. in a tomatosauce than when eaten raw
Same here, except I discovered that I generally dislike Dutch food. Apparently just don’t like boiled potatos (or boiled to death vegetables) very much (although I make an exception for a proper Dutch kale mash).
To be honest, I would just use regular busses. Much cheaper than those hop-on hop-off busses.
It’s still interesting though. Over here you can often also get health insurance through your employer, but that’s basically just a discount because you’re collectively insured at one of the health insurance companies. I’m currently insured through the collective insurance of my mum’s work, which saves me about 10-15…
Okay, could someone please explain this Dutch person why employers have any control over their employees’ health insurance?
I prefer “haha”, because it works in multiple languages. At first I didn’t even know that LOL was an acronym, because it’s a word in Dutch (meaning “fun”).
My mum has two, but uses one exclusively for coffee and the other one for tea. I also got a second one (random birthday gift), and just decided to use that one exclusively for hot chocolate because I don’t drink coffee. Don’t see the point in buying any more of them though.
We’re slowly getting some in the Netherlands though. But then again, we’re already used to filling up water bottles in public restrooms. And yes, the water coming from those faucets tends to be ice cold.
Fortunately, one of the most popular water bottles over here is relatively cheap (€12.50), and easy to clean. Then again, we also do not have water fountains like in the US, but since tap water is really clean and cheap, most of us will kind of need some sort of bottle. So I recommend the Dopper, because it’s really…
And with dual screens you can also use WIN+SHIFT+LEFT/RIGHT to send a window to a specific monitor.
Not sure how it’s across the pond, but in my country not all shows can be watched on-demand. Moreover, up until just recently, the free on-demand service of the public broadcasters will stream in glorious 360p at best with a pretty crappy bitrate, whereas recording live tv would give me an HD version that I can watch…
