Shit, i run a "cheap ass" AMD HD-7850(R7 265 is the same card) clocked @1150Mhz and i can do GRID 2 everything on high @2560x1440 with 4xMSAA and it stays glued to 60fps. And with Vsync on, i NEEEEEVER see tearing so that means i never drop below 60FPS :) for a $150 card (under $100 used).

I don't usually talk bad about people, but you taking out your ass. 2007 Colbalt ss(turbo) did a 8:22 lap, same as M3 E46 and GT-R. The super charged cobalts before 2007 where crap to be fare.

That's true, and they also coat the inside with ceramic to prevent the housing from getting that hot as well (also prevents the gases from condensing), but there is still a very large chunk of metal connecting the two.
