My main complaint actually arose with Mortal Kombat. You can only link it with one profile. My gf had already activated it and when I wanted to play with a buddy, I couldn't. We don't play online enough to justify an extra $10 on top of Xbox Live (which we both have). It's just annoying.

Here's the issue for me. I only buy games new. I share the game with my gf. But only one of us could ever play online with our account unless we want to pay an extra $10 despite living in the same house. That's kinda stupid isn't it?

Not saying that I agree with the policy, but you can always buy used and pay $10 for the activation fee. That and instead of moving your entire console, can't you just recover your gamertag ect.
