Hey Tom, I definitely like the idea of moving from a TDI Jetta to an A3. But, you’re definitely not spending less on gas. If you care about your Audi and it’s turbo, you’d be putting premium fuel into it. Not less than diesel, unless there’s a region where it is that I’m not aware of.

It’s illegal in several states to leave your car idling while unattended. Although, in Texas you would think the law is the opposite.

Serious question, why are there not more suicide doors on cars? I assume it has something to do with safety or structural integrity.

I took a serious look at buying one a few years ago. The low price and styling were tempting. But, yeah, build quality wise, it’s a Dodge Neon. The engine choices are also disappointing.

I was hoping it would be better than remote play with PSTV. It sounds like it’s still laggy as hell. I found remote play with the Vita to be better, but the lack of two of the shoulder buttons is a problem with some games.

I specifically remember my VW sales rep demonstrating how clean my 2014 TDI Passat ran by wafting exhaust into his nostrils as it was running. I’d say that the next wave of lawsuits could be from employees and former employees that were more exposed to NOx because of VW’s claim that they were cleaner.

I keep hearing that VW hasn’t had enough time. This “cheat” has been engineered into TDI vehicles since the 2009 TDI model year. That means models that came out later in 2008 and was probably worked on for several years before actual release. This means that the cheat has been engineered going back close to 10 years!

This is exactly what I thought of, with hi/lo gears and all. The past is now the future!

This has been my point and frustration as an affected TDI owner. It hasn’t been 6 months that it’s been going on, it’s been years. We’ve only known publicly for 6 months.
