I decided years ago I will never, ever, fly coach over an ocean. I MIGHT do one of the better premium economy cabins for the daytime half of the trip, but for heading to Europe I will be in a lay-flat seat.

Some knowledge of local geography probably fills in the gap... My son’s house is only 3 minutes from the airport terminal. TSA here, even on a bad day, is only a couple of minutes more. Parking is literally across the lane from the terminal and TSA checkpoint.
You’re kidding right?
Should’ve gone Tomatoan(g)us...
Are you sure this historic vehicle organization doesn’t already support the same guidelines in the case of a traditional engine swap? I interpret it to be them expanding their guidelines to electric cars.
My favorite part of the article:
It’s a long time to be seated, upright, even with a couple of inches more legroom.
It is interesting “spin” on their part to call this an Experimental Study, when everybody knows the answer— the passengers in the lie-flat seats and free booze can pretty much sleep the whole way. Give ‘em enough comfort and you can tolerate the ride.
I can understand your grievance that they only specify EV conversions and ignores ICE swaps.
Their statement is perfectly reasonable: what may today be a crappy worthless old car can be, in the future, a very rare historic and cultural document.
A diving destination where the draw is junked cars at the bottom of a flooded quarry is the Alabama-est thing ever.
Um...what you quoted simply addresses a recommendation that people who convert to EV keep their old parts safe and well-labelled.
My wife and I were just going to buy a SUV or Crossover a few years ago because we do like to drive, have a kid and a dog. Sat in a VW Sportwagen and realized it was all we needed and bought one. Got a Travall guard and divider so the dog can sit in the back and it’s been pretty great.
It’s a pretty silly law when you consider that a good driving mode, with a properly positioned phone, is no less dangerous to use than your car's stereo, especially if you've got one of those fancy in-car entertainment systems.
Speaking as someone who is and has been in the US Air Force for over 26 years, I never thought I’d see the day when a president would happily admit to sending military support based on the host country paying for our presence. Yeah, I know that all warfare is implicitly driven by money more than ideology, and many of…
The reason they are there is to be cannon fodder. If Iran kills American troops then Trump will try to become a wartime President by starting a war with Iran. Notice he supports Turkey and did not complain that they shot at American troops; they have a Trump hotel.
So the US is running away from protecting its ally who defeated IS for it, so fast that the US had to bomb US bases because they didn’t even have time to bring their ammunition with them, handing Russia and Iran control of Syria...
Have you tried manually updating? Sometimes that works, or uninstalling / reinstalling.
I think Waze is more of a special-purpose app for commuters looking to shave a few seconds/minutes off their commute. It can certainly be used for longer trips (and I’ve done so, specifically for the speed trap alerts), but in that context it’s just as likely to get you in trouble when it directs you to some back…
