Sadly, the place doesn’t get a whole lot of business. They first got rid of one of the parking areas and made it specifically for drive-thru customers only. Then I went there a few days ago and they closed down the other parking areas and tore down the walk-up intercom.

Maybe it depends what part of the US you are in, but I use a broker here in TX for both my auto and home insurance. She consistently finds me great deals from lesser know but still well-respected companies that don’t advertise all over TV. I recommend using a broker to all of my friends. A lot of people seem to go

I actually wish there was an Arby’s closer to me. I enjoy their chicken tenders and I tried their Pork Belly Sandwich and loved it, but the closest one is really out of the way for me.

Just console yourself with some lutefisk or pickled herring.

Because they’d have to find a venison ranch in the US, which I’m not sure there are any of, and you can’t retail meat from wild animals here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_hunters has more information.

Short answer is that our legislatures at pretty much every level have been bought and paid for by insurance industry associations, and as such, are very accommodating when it comes to letting insurance companies be as abusive as they want.

That’s not a dent, it’s a design feature built in to every Camry from that era.

Keeping the keys to a trade-in is extremely stupid and child like.

They tried telling me the lender they used reevaluates the loans every six months so payments would drop a bunch after six months, which i didnt believe

HOLY COW! I’m surprised that my comment made into the COTD, but I’m happy. This is my second one (or really first-and-a-half). :)

Go car shop in the poor part of any city. Tactics like this are the norm. I had a salesman and service technician try to convince me that they were unable to provide any kind of service record for the vehicle (after bragging about how it had been the owner’s son’s car) because of privacy laws. I started discussing how

Best deal I ever negotiated was in one of those situations. I was ready to punch someone. Plus, the big problem was that my trade in was such a POS they didn’t even want it. EVEN SO, they didn’t want to let me leave. Finally agreed on a good price on the model I wanted, but one with a slight chip on the hood.

now i finally know the story behind at least one camry dent, and for this i thank you :)

“You know, now that I see this extremely unpleasant, borderline psychotic side of you, I am totally going to re-evaluate my financial decision in your favor! Where do I sign?”

It is unbelievable the level of shit dealers pull sometimes. That sales duo sounds like a nightmare and I have no doubt that the story is 100% valid. A few years ago me and my dad went to a Volkswagen dealer because they were advertising a very reasonable out the door price on a Routon (the VW’ized version of the Town

I alllllways give my customers their trade keys right back after we’re done, even if my managers go “dude why’d you do that?”

HOW DO YOU PEOPLE KEEP FINDING PLACES LIKE THAT? Christ, the amount of legal things we worry about on a daily basis, I couldn’t imagine even considering acting like this, let alone actually doing it.

You’re awfully proud of being a dick to your neighbors.
