Eh. Some of them maybe. Some might just be “showroom decorations” the way some places put old restored classics of their brands in the showrooms just as another thing for customers to look at and extend their stay at the dealer.

Because this is just an AV setup. You don’t have to stick a console in there. You could stick a small form factor PC, media player, etc.

True.

I don’t know that it will work, but I applaud the GS people who at least recognize the storm on the horizon and are trying to keep the ship afloat.

They supposedly just folded the brand it into their gamestop website. Which was dumb.

Depends on where you are maybe? When I lived in a dense urban university town where most places delivered, I would order in a few times a month because there were options and it was convenient to getting other things done.

If recent stories have taught us anything, it’s that delivery apps (and other gig economy services) only care when enough bad PR starts coming in over an issue to effect the bottom line.

I was at a place and apparently whatever driver was picking up the door dash or whatever sent their kid in (probably 10 or 12 years old) while they waited in the car.

Games have already gone up in price. There’s a reason why games come out with “standard”, “Deluxe”, “Elite”, etc, etc, etc that are each an increment above the previous in price, and include gameplay or game elements that previously were included in the single version of the game that would be made available.

If Amtrak were a completely private business, it would run passenger trains in the NE corridor, and pretty much nothing else. There’s ridership and demand there (too much, hence the article) and probably a few other lines that are economically worthwhile as well, but that’s it.

They’re facing a class action lawsuit over the issue. While Nintendo does tend to be more “customer friendly” in certain ways, dollars to donuts they’re taking pre-emptive action based on their legal department’s advise.

Generally the lawyer’s handling such a suit will update their website, or a website specifically set up for the suit, with details as they develop.

You don’t need to block them.  There are plug ins which just stop videos from auto playing.

This has already stealth happened. Many big games release tiered editions and the base $60 game is almost never what would have been historically considered the “full game”.

This. I didn’t even own a N64, but my friend did. He had Mario Party and I played it once for an afternoon. Had a painful circle shaped wound on my palm for a while after because I didn’t realize the little circle grooves were perfectly designed to flay skin.

Because the extra few dimes of steel it would take to lengthen the hinges/springs/etc to get the hood all the way open probably isn’t viewed as being worth it.

I honestly assumed, when I first heard they were doing this film, it was going to be a terrible “old man comes out of retirement to do X, because young people/new technology can’t” sort of plot.

It’s a matter of balance. How much safety is required has to be balanced against how much that safety costs, and how much it adds to the quality of the product.

You can watch it on YouTube. Formula One just won’t let it play embedded.

Assets generally can’t be just copy and pasted between game engines. They’d also have to license it from Zenimax, which would be an additional cost on top of redoing assets to work with the new engine, plus having all the Bethesda devs learn the new software, plus whatever engineering might be required to make it work
