The ordinance isn’t “vehicles” it’s “vehicle”, as in, “Hey, are you poor? Do you only have 1 car and it’s a piece of crap? Is the sudden breakdown of your car a financial emergency and now have to choose between fixing that car promptly or paying rent/groceries/etc? Are you bumming rides or walking to work while your…
To be a downer the actual statement was “While we are aware of the activity being undertaken by an individual on the Cattaraugus Territory, the Seneca Nation has no role whatsoever in what is taking place. Although we know the reason for his actions, we look for a safe resolution addressing this situation,”
From what little info is available, I think the defense was arguing that the transport of native goods with the intent of transfer from one tribal territory to another wasn’t illegal and the NY state authorities were being purely punitive, as supported by the monetary valuation which the defense argues runs afoul of…
I generally do my state taxes manually, and print and mail them in since the state hasn’t yet fully implemented electronic filing (unless you use a 3rd party company and then have to jump through their hoops).
I assume it’s so that it will be more likely to get passed around, and potentially get more people to check it out for curiosity’s sake.
Pretty sure the rich taking advantage of the poor has been a thing since economies began to exist. Sure, some companies put forward real effort into operating in an ethical manner, but many big successful multi-nationals have run the numbers and decided on the level of advantage it’s most profitable to take of people.
I watch a lot of YouTubers, and so I’m used to the “sponsor pitch” a lot of content creators have in order to make a living. Works for them, works for me.
They did a touring live stage show that included “building” a bike on stage, and scripted drama/fights.
A lot of the best reality shows take what’s already there, and either through good editing or various other methods cause it to amp up.
It’s not necessarily a problem, per se. It does however provide a data set that should allow society to start looking at the issue and examining if there’s something else at another point going on that is a problem.
I don’t know how intentional it was, but they have historically focused on long term growth vs year over year profitability.
What exactly is your definition of “recently”?
The adage “location, location, location” is just as true when it comes to insurance as it is with other things. If you live within the city limits of Detroit, MI you’ll pay one of the highest rates in the country. Move a fifteen minute drive to the city, and your rates can drop by 50% or more.
It comes with the lack of universal health care. Where I live the most expensive portion of the auto insurance policy is the bit that covers bodily injury.
Depends on the policy. You can ensure cars for an “agreed value” as long as you’re willing to pay the premium. Usually that’s useful for older vintage cars that are worth more in reality than on paper due to condition or rarity, or modified cars that have parts worth multiples of the bluebook value of the car they’re…
I’ve heard that unless you’re willing to pay, car shipping is more faith than anything. Pickup times like a cable installer window, no way of knowing where the car is while it’s in transit, etc, etc.

That’s how it’s pronounced. It’s like the peanut butter.
