It's around 7 seconds stock. I'm right there with you. That's why I pursued options on the used market. It would be more forgivable as a sedan IMO, bc that's more DD oriented.

Well the WRX is almost up there with the STI now. 268ish. They should appeal to different markets though with coupe vs sedan. Rally vs rwd etc. I agree with you though. 235ish with a turbo would certainly be a good spot for it and open up easier modifications.

The non M3 is certainly easier. I've owned a ZHP as well and the maintenance was about half of the M.

My C5 vette felt more exotic than my e46 m3. I wouldn't consider either a supercar and I would consider the m3 an ultimate sports coupe than a sportscar. My 0.02
