So instead of trying to leave the guy and continue with her life, which in the absolute worst possible case ends with him killing her, she tries to kill herself. And fails. I too would like to know the reason to why she didn't leave.
So why does the person stay? Not saying that the attacker is innocent, but if someone punches /insults/etc. you, you either retaliate, get away or sue. What reason could there be to stay in it, unless like that girl said you are weak/afraid.
