I lived in Chicago for years and never witnessed a crime, or even heard a distant gunshot. I am not pretending they don’t happen, but large parts of Chicago are safer than a lot of small towns. I suspect Atlanta has a similar breakdown of neighborhoods.

If anyone buys a Bentley Flying Spur through Wal-Mart, please document the process so it can be shown on Jalopnik.com

Alternative reality? Ronald Reagan was president in 1986.

You had the 4.0 SOHC junker, I for one love the 3.7 DOHC they just killed off.

Just about every V6 is a better drive than a comparable turbo four (given the same overall numbers). I can’t put my finger on it, but the balance, the sound, the flat torque curves. I don’t personally drive enough to benefit from an extra couple mpg. Modern turbo fours are amazing machines, but without a lot of

There’s something uncool about a V6 mustang, uncool as in Japanese Stratocaster uncool. It’s still good, very good, but it’s just not the real deal.

COTD for sure, anything else is an impostor.

And to think, you could’ve had one of them all along for the cost of a V6 Mustang....

I used to think he was obnoxious, actually come to think of it he was obnoxious. But, he’s really mellowed out now, and I find him to be very enjoyable to watch.

Dude what the hell. You are suggesting people use paint thinner on their leather seats? Where did you get this info?

Paint thinners, then leather polish. Yeah they’ve done a shitty job, but I’ve oversprayed enough crap in my life (seats, phone, self) to know it’s not a massive problem to get a light dusting off.

In 15 years from now, most 10 years old beaters will all have that fancy new age electrical stuff.

Because fuel is still cheaper in the long run than electric and there is that nagging range issue with batteries. When they can figure out how to affordably get 300 miles from a battery pack that can be charged in <15 mins for roughly the same price as a vehicle with an ICE, that is when the tides will begin to turn.

All this talk about efficiency and energy savings, meanwhile I was super happy last week to have gotten 13.2mpg out of my X5 4.6 haha. None of that fancy new age electrical stuff for me— I’ll just stick to buying old cars.

That’s why I wrote it up for you!

Oxygen was never the most common element; it’s still hydrogen.

I agree. It sounds like a bunch of carp to me.

You have no idea how much this delights me that someone else knows that issue.

“Even with the stock 4spd ZF auto trans”

Is it me or could a lot of the stories of Soichiro-era Honda read like this:
