Yes, you’re being an asshole and don’t even realize it. I’m glad we could agree on that.
Thank you! How many idiots are on here today, anyways?
I am so sorry to anyone you ever interact with romantically.
It’s because the idea is that sucking dick is bad and emasculating. There’s a reason that “suck a dick” is an insult and “fuck a bag one” or whatever isn’t.
That may be true, but they’re being punished for things they should not be punished for, via a system that was meant to ensure justice, not be used as a tool for arbitrary vengeance.
More than one party can be wrong at the same time
I can just pretend that Beauty and the Beast is an alternate world where Viktor saves the girl from Gaston Weasley.
A few people have said this, but there was already a love triangle. This happened in Goblet of Fire regardless. The only thing this would have been was a reminder of the fact that this had once happened and stir up bad memories for Ron. I don’t think it particularly matters either way...Ron is always going to look…
This discussion is going to the dogs...
The Pacific Islanders were some of the greatest explorers in history. Their careful observations of the stars and currents carried them across vast oceans. Now a few of their descendants are rejecting the heritage of exploration the telescope represents.
It’d be a loss for astronomy, but a major win for Hawaiian cultural practitioners who don’t want

Astronomers might be complaining now but… the Canary Islands are well know as a hot spot for rich Euros and their insatiable drive for PPPAAAARRRTTTTYYY. The future astronomers on this telescope will do more blow than all previous astronomers.
Lets change the name of this telescope to honor the current one, let them…
Maybe you should just smoke a doob and sit down for a while, man.
Not all natives are against the TMT. There are many that also recognize that 1) the ancient Hawaiians used the stars as part of their science and 2) the science and educational benefits of the TMT are wondrous.
No one is buried there on the site for the telescope. It’s “sacred” (as are all the peaks/volcanos.) At one point, early Hawaiians used parts of it for production (quarries). You can think of it as early commercialization of the property. Prior, it was reserved for “the elites” to visit and the hoi polloi weren’t…
Yes. Building another telescope on a mountain of telescopes to further human knowledge is definitely the exact same as spreading disease among a native population.
Yeah, putting the telescope on Mauna Kea would be a horrible blight to an otherwise pristine landscape.
but Corey Lewandowski is still on the payroll.
