Very cool. I think she could have improved it by reinforcing the thin part at the bottom with bricks rotated by 90 degrees (so the "grain" of the bricks is vertical.) There are a few really sturdy ways to do this if you're using technic bricks (the ones with the holes in them for making moveable robotic linkages).
