I wish that they’d bring over the Club Nintendo version of Picross. It’s a version where everything is a picture of something from Nintendo games. I got it from an online auction before Club Nintendo shut down. It’s a rare game now, I would think.
OMG finally e6 came out?! I previously bought the Japanese version on my Japanese 3DS then exported it to .cia and imported the .cia on my American 3DS just because I wanted the game.
The complexity of the level files is high enough that the probability of an arbitrary code execution exploit using corrupted levels approaches 1. Wii U jailbreak, anyone?
Will Wright is actually in two other games, only one of which he had something to do with: Dr. Wright in the SNES SimCity, and “Mr. Write” in Link’s Awakening. The fact that “Mr. Write” is spelled that way may be due to the fact that the name is intended to simultaneously be Will Wright’s last name and a pun on…
I discovered a previously-unknown secret cheat code in the SNES JRPG Breath of Fire nearly 20 years after the game was released.
Rocket League is at a much faster pace than soccer/football.
Rocket League’s clock counts down instead of up.
Rocket League matches end when time runs out, instead of ending when a ref says they end.
Rocket League’s clock stops when play stops.
That’s SNES not NES. That’s from the Mario 3 port to SNES as part of Super Mario Collection / Super Mario All-Stars. These graphics were later used for the Mario 3 port Super Mario Advance 4.
#37 is simple. I don’t feel like working out 38/39 right now.
Same engine as Triforce of the Gods 2 / A Link Between Worlds? I’m going to have some fun with all the clipping bugs... =^-^=
The story in the original trilogy was that they had FTL travel without the mass relays, but the speeds achievable were still too slow for galactic commerce.
In terms of work experience, he’s just fine, but companies won’t hire someone who rants to the public like this, because next time, it could be them.
I loved Momotaro Dentetsu 7, a PS1 version of the game. I needed a Japanese friend to play with me so that I could understand what was happening a lot of the time, since I can only read English words written in Japanese, but I still enjoyed the game.
In Final Fantasy 5, item number 255, or FF in hexadecimal, is named 「えふえふ」 (“efuefu” / “FF”). It’s an inaccessible item that seems to exist only as a placeholder for that unused item slot. It doesn’t do anything. The player in this video acquires item “FF” using a bug:
It’s especially stupid since they haven’t done things like cancel auctions for 3DS’s with the Ambassador games, which are now-unavailable digital downloads attached to your Nintendo Network ID. The only reason I can see eBay doing this is because Sony or Konami asked eBay to through the VeRO program.
It’s “cut off the nose to spite the face”, not “despite”.
“Those worried about piracy grey areas, don’t sweat it”
Oh, phone. Never mind then. Stupid autocorrect gets me all the time, too >.<
I’ve heard it both ways. In descriptions of, say, Super Mario Bros., the box of pixels inside which attacks will kill Mario is usually called the “hitbox”. By the way, when correcting someone, it’s best to get your own sentences correct: “it’s” should’ve been “its”.
It depends on what you consider a “good translation”, actually. “Cura” is the more accurate/literal translation—the Japanese spell names have their intensity progress in that way. It’s the job of the translator to decide whether to keep this naming or to redo it with numbering. In the past, the translators went with…
